Sydney Track Classic 2009

We had a packed stadium and a loaded field for the Sydney Track Classic this year.  The weather was beautiful all day, nice and hot then it tried to rain on us for the 1st round of throws but it cleared up.  There were several lead changes as we all tried to find our groove.  The Australian discus thrower, Dani Samuels ended up on top with a seasons best 62.21 meters.  I improved on my performance from Auckland and threw 58.84 meters for 5th.  Not bad considering we have been in a heavy training phase.  I am excited to see how I throw in Melbourne on March 5th….
