Goodbye Molly you’ll be missed

The Min Pin known as “Molly Mu” passed away on friday June 5th. She was a great dog and part of the family for 11 years. She loved everyone and had friends all over the states. A lovable lap dog and very much the protector of her people. She was a small dog but had the heart and appetite of a big dog. She lived a long and full life and like a cat she had 9 lives. She survived car accidents, chicken bones, chocolate and everything else a dog is not supposed to have.Molly had a lot of personality and would do a lot of weird things, at times I think, she thought she was human. One thing she would always do is burrow herself under blankets like a kid tucking themselves in at night. My friends, the Rudd’s in Knoxville, TN even made Molly her own blanket with her name on it. And it was her favorite blanket and went with her everywhere. One of my funniest memories is about her big appetite. I had baked several sweet potatoe pies for thanksgiving and I had them all cooling on the stove and counters. I had to leave the house for an hour and when I returned home. She had gotten one off the stove and had eaten almost the whole thing I found her laying down with her head in the pie. She was so full that she couldn’t get up and when I tried to move the pan from under her head she tried to get in a few last bites. She went from an 11 pound dog to a 16 pounder in an hour. It took a month to get the weight off.If you have a funny story that you want to share leave it in the comment section.

I know how hard it is to lose a pet. It sure does help to get another “best friend” as soon as you’re ready. As the proud mother of triplets, I can assure you pets are the best things going!!! Hope you all are doing OK.
I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I remember Molly Mu growling at Queen because she didn’t want to share her toys. Queen was 4 times as big but Molly Mu was the boss.
Mawlimu was a trooper to the end. I had the priviledge of having her up to her last days. She maintained her “I can do it myself” attitude to the very end. She continued to burrow herself in her blankey sometimes sleeping on her back with her hind legs sticking out of the blanket. She loved laying out in the grass with the sun shining on her. She loved her kisses on her cheeks. When she was getting her lovin’ she wouldn’t let you stop until she was ready to stop being kissed and petted….I miss her very much. Billy G the Pug, and Max the Boston Terrier miss her too….I think Missy the Ragdoll misses her too….Rest in peace Mwalimu….we loved you so much….
Aretha, I know that we have talked since Molly’s passing but I just wanted you to know that I am sooo sorry for your loss. Her being here the past few months has been a complete joy!!! She was like one of my children that I literally picked up on the weekends to have over at my house. I treated her like the Diva she was!
Being there when she took her last breath was heart breaking for me and I could never go through that again. It’s the hardest thing in the world to have to watch something you love so much leave so fast.
She was so loved by us and I think she knew it… but when we said your name- and she popped up like she did- i had to snap that picture! I love you and hope that you are doing well. We will send her colar down with Jasmine- I know you would want it.
Lots of love to You, Theo and the family… Brandi~
